Beyond the Contract  provides practical information for the procurement professional. It documents a 14 month study of 35 procurements from across Europe, where specific practices were monitored to measure the impact they have on procurement project success. Recommendations or proposed 'best practices' made by 14 of the most popular procurement guides and methods were analysed and the results of these studies is presented in a format that allows organisations to identify actions and improvements specific to their needs and situation. You can find the practices that improve specific performance measures, or the practices that had the best overall improvement in actual procurement projects. Improving IT Purchasing helps managers and staff in procurement organisations undertake specific actions for more sound and successful procurement activities. Provided in workbook format, this unique guide provides practical tips on organising actions to improving technology procurement and goes a step further. Each of the 21 individual improvement actions are documented with step-by-step instructions that provide a framework for getting improved procurement results. European Benchmarking Report describes in detail the current situation of procurement practices and project results based on over 100 organisational assessments conducted across Europe in the last 18 months. The Report analyses not only what is being done today, but how these tasks are being performed by examining such factors as:

  • level of formal documentation
  • skills available to do the tasks
  • degree of planning and tracking
  • level of quality achieved
  • consistency of usage throughout an organisation

These along with other attributes are reported for each of 39 different processes commonly undertaken for technology procurement today. Also summarised are project measurements concerning pricing, schedules, resources, budget overruns, supplier and user relationships and many others which provide important insights into the successes and challenges facing organisations today as they put new technology into operation. Size: 132 pages, double sided, A4 dimensions, 410 grams. Click here to see the cover and introduction.

Price: 150 Euros - available only to Forum members

In addition to these printed guides, The Procurement Forum also provides an online library of over 40 case studies documenting improvements, innovation, and best practices undertaken by both public and commercial organisations from across Europe. Members of the Forum can access the library here.
